Faith United Methodist presents V. Williams Five Mystical Songs
Faith United Methodist Church to present V. Williams Five Mystical Songs Sunday, April 26th.
Faith United Methodist Church will offer Vaughan Williams beautiful Five Mystical Songs in 11:00 AM worship. This triumphant work explores the mystic poetry and personal meditations of Anglican priest George Herbert while ending with a triumphant hymn of praise.
The work will be performed by the Harmonia Sacra string orchestra, a Steinway grand piano featuring pianist Heather Cooper, the fifty member Chancel Cantata Chorus, and baritone soloists.
Additional presentations include Gabriel Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine and instrumental offerings including piano solo works and selections from Edward Grieg’s Holberg Suite for strings.
